In GTA Online, you can make any non-premium vehicle a Personal Vehicle by applying a tracker. Premium vehicles must be purchased through one of the car dealerships in order to be able to own them as personal vehicles in GTA Online.
Insurance
Any vehicle that has a tracker applied to in can also be insured at Los Santos Customs.
In the event that your vehicle is destroyed, you can file a claim with Mors Mutual Insurance by calling them from your mobile phone’s contacts. The cost of the insurance claim when personal vehicles are destroyed varies, but is generally about 1% of the vehicles purchase price. If the vehicle was destroyed by another player, the cost of the insurance claim will be paid by them.
Note that any car that is purchased online will automatically have a tracker and insurance added to it when it is delivered to the player.
Custom Cars in Races
Personal vehicles can be used in races only if the lobby’s host allows custom cars in the race settings.
